Paul’s Chair

Designed and made as the companion mate for Paul’s Desk, this chair incorporates many of the same design elements, but tweaks them just enough to not feel as a pure echo, rather a harmony. The receded legs, the sweeps of the arms and crest, the inlayed panels, each of these have their corollary on the desk, but have been adapted to serve the form of the chair. And of course the addition of the blue velvet introduces a distinct texture and palette, that compliments the woods and also asks the view to engage, either with a hand or by sitting - and maybe trying to get some work done.

Mahogany, Birdseye Maple, Ash, Velvet.
