This version of the Phillip Chair shifts the dominant notion of the chair from more classical leaning to more modern. The layered and burnished black milk paint presents an overall more stylized structure, while preserving the warm character of the maple it was built from. The simplified hand, still tactilely interesting, presents a cleaner line.
