Ansley Sideboard

The leaded glass windows of the 120 year old house - and future home of this sideboard - presented a design idea early in the development of this piece. The thin lead lines between the 3 primary panes of glass had a distinctly refined geometry. Picking up that queue and echoing throughout pays a subtle homage to the home in which it lives and gives a rhythm to the piece. The shadow lines both frame and reinforce the proportioning of the whole, and create detailing that invites the eye and hand. And moments of rounded softness of the pulls and apron details give a subtle balance of form.

Walnut, Poplar.
